Ikasenpresa

What is Ikasenpresa?

The Ikasenpresa programme geared towards students in the higher and intermediate training cycles is coordinated by the Education Department of the Basque Autonomous Community Government through Tknika, the Basque Autonomous Community’s Vocational Training Applied Research and Innovation Centre.

The Ikasenpresa programme is a training programme developed around the creation of school businesses in the classroom.

Among the aims of this project is to bring the business world closer to the classroom and promote the development of entrepreneurial skills (creativity, innovation, teamwork, decision-making, initiative, leadership, commitment, tenacity, negotiation, etc.). Another aim is to bring students closer to other cultural and social realities and to promote collaboration between schools.

The Ikasenpresa programme will build an innovative education/training context and will use an especially practical learning methodology. The programme will take into consideration the use of new technologies (email, videoconferencing, the use of foreign languages, etc.), which are indispensable working and communication tools in today’s information society.
