CIFP MEKA LHII is an Integrated Vocational Training school in the Basque Public Education system. It offers intermediate and higher training cycles, as well as ongoing training for workers and the unemployed and the opportunity of training abroad through European projects.
The CIFP MEKA LHII school aims to be a benchmark in vocational training, for which the management’s clear commitments are: to provide customers with a quality service, to protect the environment and to guarantee occupational safety. For this purpose, and in order to achieve continuous improvement, it has opted for an integrated management system based on quality, environment and safety as a reference model for management throughout the school.
This policy will be used as a frame of reference for establishing environmental and quality objectives, based on the following guidelines:
- To ensure total customer satisfaction by providing a quality service with respect to education itself, customer service, and the educational commitment to our society.
- To comply with the legal requirements relating to the environment, quality, and safety that correspond to the school, as well as other obligations that we have assumed, taking into consideration the conditions and requirements of customers and stakeholders at all times.
- To undertake ongoing improvement through the continuous optimization of our activities, services provided and work processes through planning, development and review.
- To align our processes and projects with the mission, vision and strategies of the organization, educating in excellence, sustainability, co-education, respect and equality.
- To take students, school staff and stakeholders into consideration, by listening to their views and endeavouring to meet their expectations.
- To undertake the continuous training of the staff in order to improve their knowledge and achieve effectiveness and quality in education, in the post and in the school’s processes and objectives.
- To protect the environment by taking measures to combat and limit pollution originating in activities carried out both at the school and on its behalf, through the sustainable consumption of resources, the limitation and proper management of waste and discharges generated, and measures to mitigate climate change.
- Regarding occupational hazard prevention, to take measures to anticipate the compromising of people’s health and safety, and to take prevention measures.
- To try and meet the training needs of local companies and offer services through Tkgune.
This policy, as well as the commitments that are developed from it, affect the whole organization; an effort has to be made to ensure that all the people in the school are cognizant of it, accept it and fulfil it. In addition, they should be committed to improving the management system and to actively participating in the achievement of the institution’s objectives.
