Jose Mari Beristain, director of the MEKA lanbide school, welcomed President Imanol Pradales this morning. In addition to the president, Eider Mendoza, deputy general of Gipuzkoa; Begoña Pedrosa, Minister of Education; Jon Labaka, Deputy Minister; Maialen Gurrutxaga, mayor of Elgoibar; and Alaitz Bastida, director of the IMH, were also present.
Continuing with the activities to mark the 125th anniversary of the Elgoibar vocational training school, a commemorative plaque reading “Iragana, Oraina, Etorkizuna 1899-2024” was placed at the entrance to the center.
The event took place in the Albitzuri building, and attendees were able to visit the boilermaking and automotive workshops, as well as have the opportunity to chat with the students.
